Our teaching methodology is performance driven to deliver real on course improvements. Our coaching team is closely integrated with our club fitting and building staff to ensure our clients not only improve through designed lesson programs but with their equipment as desired swing improvements are achieved. Our coaching team has access to technology from Trackman and Quintic.

Cory Renfrew joined the PGA of Canada in 2017 after playing professionally for six full seasons on the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada. He has competed in three PGA TOUR, three Korn Ferry Tour and countless local and international mini tour events where he amassed over 25 victories. Cory graduated from the University of British Columbia where he won team and individual championships as captain of the UBC Varsity Golf Team. He has coached at Cordova Bay Golf Course and most recently at the Premier Royal Golf Academy. Cory’s philosophy of merging strong fundamentals along with an individual’s unique attributes in a fun learning environment has proven incredibly successful over the years.
Craig Dale was born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia and moved to Calgary in 2014. He began hitting golf balls at the age of 2. Craig is a 3rd generation Golf Professional with his Grand Father and Uncle both having been professionals. Craig has won at all levels of golf whether as a Junior, Amateur or Professional and represented his home province of Nova Scotia. Craig started fitting while working for Titleist. He was the first and only Canadian to be a member of the USA Fitting Advisory Board with Callaway Golf. Craig has worked with PGA TOUR coaches and has been relied on to fit multiple Professional Golfers.
Jeremy Maher was born and raised in Montreal. He took up the game at the age of sixteen and attended The Golf Academy of America in Orlando from 1999-2001. Jeremy obtained his PGA of Canada card in 2001 and moved to Calgary in 2010. Jeremy was the Head Professional for five years at Valley Ridge Golf Club before starting his new adventure with Modern Golf. As a player Jeremy is the two-time winner of the PGA of Alberta Pro-Senior event in 2017 and 2019. He won the 2015 Blackwolf Individual Match Play Event, played by some of the top amateurs and professionals in the Calgary area. Jeremy is excited to be part of the Modern Golf team because it brings him back to his roots of teaching and fitting.
Kieran Harris is a Class A member of the PGA of Canada since 2009. He has worked at many esteemed clubs such as McArthur Golf Club (Jupiter, FL), Muskoka Bay Club, Oviinbyrd, Maple Downs Golf & Country Club, and Brampton Golf Club. Kieran was a lead coach with the Henry Brunton Academy (Eagles Nest Golf Club), operating the Strive For Excellence college pathway program since 2018. Kieran possesses a formidable grasp of the mechanics and fundamental aspects of all parts of the game, with elite navigation of the full swing and short game. He is able to communicate simply and precisely for the most effective learning experience, marrying both traditional and modern terminology to provide a comprehensive approach to each player. His success is founded on his ability to cater to the unique learning preferences, potentials, and true needs of each student, wielding the opposite of a one-size-fits-all approach to evoke the greatest results from each individual.
Sean Burke attended Ohio Valley University where in his senior year he captained the golf team to numerous team titles, including a Conference Championship. Sean’s pro career has given him a distinct advantage in his coaching, which expands to a variety of skill levels. His playing background and coaching/caddying experience on the PGA and LPGA Tour’s have been a huge asset to his students allowing them to successfully implement a fundamental game plan to playing better golf. He is able to share an unmatched wealth of knowledge providing his students with unique insights into what it takes to elevate their games to new levels. Sean believes there are key fundamentals and swing mechanics that help promote improved ball striking, pitching/chipping and putting. Creating a blueprint specific to each individual and evaluating their skill set is important to executing his students’ goals.
